I’ve been on a total Mega Man kick for awhile now. My most recent project being this basic “Met” robot enemy. It’s the enemy that is just a hard hat sitting on the ground until you get close to it. Then, it pops up and shoots bullets at you.
This particular build has a removable hard hat so you can have the robot in either pose. If/when I build version 2.0 I would like to have it actually shoot something, probably ping pong balls, and maybe even pop up. We’ll see

As a longtime Metroid fan, I had a blast making this Metroid Hatchling. Considering Samus Aran is a bounty hunter, I wanted the containment canister to look very worn and battle damaged. Clean and pristine just don’t seem fitting for someone battling monstrous aliens and dodging laser fire 24/7.

Back in the Summer of 2007, I decided I wanted to have a Metroid costume for Halloween. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was about to come out and Metroid was in the limelight. I had never created a helmet or full body costume though, so unfortunately I didn’t know where to begin.
I did a fair amount of research and created a prototype, but ultimately it just didn’t happen. Halloween came and went with no Metroid love. I was very disappointed, but I hoped that one day I’d revisit the project and complete it.
Almost 5 years later… that day arrived
